Christmas Eve Cookies

Processed with VSCO with a6 presetA tradition started with Ezra that I intend to carry on for years to come. A simple sugar cookie dough made on Christmas Eve morning, chilled all day, baked and decorated in the evening. We will have a few with hot cocoa, leave several out for the man with the bag, and take the rest around to family on Christmas Day.

Recipe-

3/4 cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

Instruction-

Mix butter and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla, stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover and chill for at least 4-6 hours (recommend all day). Preheat oven to 400, use ungreased cookie sheet, bake 6-8 minutes. For soft cookies, don’t roll too thin.
